Personalized Reading Tutoring

Using a teaching approach called Orton Gillingham, students are taught using multisensory methods in individual, systematic, cumulative and direct instruction. This means that we use our eyes, ears, and movement to learn to read, and each lesson is modified to the specific needs of each student, based on exactly what happened in the previous session. Orton Gillingham is based on the science of reading. It is effective for all students, and necessary for students with dyslexia. 

Students in 1:1 tutoring at Lemons to Lemonade Literacy participate in two 50-55 minute sessions per week. The sessions are cumulative and consistent practice is essential to achieve the greatest progress. Sessions are taught live online, with limited in person sessions available as an option for those local to the Mansfield, CT area. 

The investment for individualized tutoring with Lemons to Lemonade Literacy is $60/session, billed monthly using a tuition model. The tuition model divides the cost evenly throughout the semester, allowing families to plan for equal monthly payments.
